“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” Closing Time – Semisonic
Well entrepreneurs, you made it to the end of another year. For some that is a glorious feeling of relief, for others a sobering moment or recollection. In business, every year will come with its share of trials and triumphs, the key is the ability to balance the good with the bad and never allow either to knock you off of your tightrope. Now is perfect time to get re-centered.
To do this, I suggest doing and end of the year wrap up where you fully assess the pros and cons of your 2011 business year. Grab one sheet of paper, fold it left over right creating two vertical columns. Title the left column “CONS” and the right column “PROS”.
The left column represents the past and things that you’ll want to leave in 2011, while the right column represents not only the things that you did right, but also the things that you want to continue and carry into 2012 [be completely honest, but don’t beat yourself up].
After you have completed your lists, post the sheet prominently on a wall in the area where you do the majority of your work as a constant visual reminder & motivator for next year.

“I did not realize how important the flyer would be in planning my Pink Bag Party charity event. There was an unexpected change in the place of the Pink Bag Party and I wasn’t sure how to notify the 1000 plus people invited that I had invited of the new venue. TheAIDG saw a need and suggested a flyer. The turn around time was minimal. The design was classy to match the event and all of the information was perfectly placed. The chic design saved my event. The flyer was a success!”—Imani Michele #TestimonialTuesdays
